Kate C. Hashemi

Kate C. Hashemi is the lead Iran researcher at the Middle East Consultancy Services. Kate holds an MA in Iranian Studies from SOAS University of London, where she graduated with distinction. Kate has held several positions at both private companies and NGOs researching human rights violations and implementing safeguards for refugees and asylum seekers. Her current projects involve supporting Action for Refugees in Lewisham’s local food bank and producing Country of Origin reports for Asylos, a Brussels-based NGO. Kate’s research is centered on gender-based issues in MENA, human rights violations, and forced migration.
