Alina Achenbach
Alina Achenbach is a graduate student of Philosophy at KU Leuven, Belgium, having just obtained her Research Masters in Continental Philosophy. Previously, she have studied decolonial social theory and anthropology at Utrecht University, NL, and received an MA in Philosophy, likewise from KU Leuven. In her research, she focuses on the intersection of media theory/philosophy of technology and transgenerational trauma/memory studies from a decolonial and feminist perspective, thinking these themes through the prisms digitality and technology. she is also a also a no-border and pro-asylum activist especially working against EU policies of encampment and debilitating bureaucratic practices. In 2020, just like now, she divided her time between Lebanon and Belgium, as well as her home country Germany, and she is currently based in Beirut.
