Vaishnavi Manju Pal

Vaishnavi Manju Pal (they/she) is a London-based researcher and lecturer in Social Sciences. A Gender Studies graduate with distinction from SOAS, University of London, and former President of the SOAS Ambedkar Society, their work examines how Dalit men construct identity and assertion in response to caste-based marginalisation, tracing the politics of respectability and masculinity that emerge from this positioning. Their research also engages with the rise of Hindu nationalism in India and its resonances with far-right movements globally, reading caste and gender through a feminist, anti-colonial lens.
