Cindy Salame
Cindy Salame is a Beirut-based, queer feminist writer currently pursuing a Master’s degree in International Politics at SOAS, University of London. Her research focuses on the affective and systemic entrenchments of sectarianism in Lebanon. She holds a BA in Lebanese Law and MA in Public Law from the Université Saint-Joseph de Beyrouth and has worked in legal research with various organizations fighting for social equality and against corruption. In her free time, she volunteers for a legal crisis hotline offering assistance to activists wrongfully detained or assaulted during protests. She also stays involved in activism online and on the streets of Beirut. She is interested in queer feminist theory, transnational solidarity, and the politics of affect and storytelling.
