Rola Alaedine

Rola Alaedine is a translator based in Beirut with over 10 years of experience in translation and consecutive interpretation in Arabic, English, and French. In addition to a BA in Languages and Translation, she pursued academic training in mediation focusing on mediation for conflict involving migrants and refugees, with a special interest in the role of language and culture in conflict. Her work with refugees and migrants in Lebanon led her to pursue an MA in Migration Studies with a focus on labor migration in general, and migrant workers in Lebanon in particular. Her current research focus investigates the role of labor migration’s global and local processes in shaping migrants’ individual intimate histories.
