Angie Abdelmonem

Angie Abdelmonem is a doctoral candidate in Anthropology in the School of Human Evolution and Social Change at Arizona State University. Her dissertation is an ethnographic account of community-based anti-sexual harassment initiatives that arose just prior to and following the 2011 Egyptian Revolution, with particular emphasis on the social initiative HarassMap, and their role in refashioning social perceptions and behaviors on sexual harassment in Egypt.
