Mohira Suyarkulova

Mohira Suyarkulova is a scholar and a queer feminist activist living and working in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. She teaches courses on gender, sexuality, happiness and critical theory at the American University of Central Asia. Mohira has previously published with Kohl. Most recently, she co-authored "A Book on Happiness for young (and not so young) LGBT (but not only) people" (in Russian) with her colleagues and comrades Nina Bagdasarova and Georgy Mamedov. This story was originally published in Russian in a collection of feminist and queer science fiction "Utterly Other" (Sovsem drugie) edited by Oksana Shatalova and Georgy Mamedov published by STAB-press in Bishkek in 2018 and was later translated into English for a public reading in London.
