Allison Finn
Based in Beirut and from NYC, Alli is an activist, trainer, and researcher focused on the intersections of gender, labor, access to justice, and coloniality. Her current work includes collaborative case management work with migrant domestic workers and migrant workers in Beirut facing labor exploitation, violence, medical needs, deportation, and refugee claims, and community organizing with feminist groups in Lebanon and the US. She is currently completing her MA in Sociology at the American University of Beirut, where her research focuses on the challenges and tactics of feminist activism around gender-based violence. She previously worked as a community mediator and restorative justice facilitator in NYC, certified by the New York Peace Institute in 2014, and as a program designer and facilitator for secondary school and university anti-discrimination programs in the US and Middle East. She is a member of the Feminist Network, a Beirut collective that fights sexual harassment and creates safe space for women, trans, and gender nonconforming people.
