Deema Nasser

Deema Nasser is a part-time instructor at the Department of English at the American University of Beirut where she received her MA in English Literature in January 2016. She also is a part-time editor at Turning Point Books, an independent publishing house in Beirut. Her research interests include modern and contemporary Arabic literature, problems of representation in translation practices, visual culture theory, and the Arabic graphic novel. She is currently in the process of applying to PhD programs in comparative literary studies.
