Salma Shash

An Egyptian researcher. Graduated from the American University in Cairo with a political science major and a minor in philosophy. Just completed a master’s degree in Middle East politics at SOAS, university of London. A founding member of “bread and freedom” party (حزب العيش و الحرية) in Egypt. Research interests include: gender and resistance in the history of the Middle East, police brutality and the prison system in Egypt, and urban and spatial inequalities in Cairo.
