Weam Shawgi Hasan

Weam Shawky Hassan. 29-year-old from Sudan. Feminist advocate for gender rights. An entrepreneur who owned "Isis Cafe," a cultural cafe in the city of Khartoum. The cafe was closed almost a year ago because of my right-based views on equality and social justice. A literary writer and a journalist who worked in the field of journalism, radio, and television. A filmmaker too. I produced my first short film "Reeha" and I am about to produce my second film. I worked on a written documentary program on the role of women in the revolution. I am also working on enriching feminist content through media, in addition to my work in community awareness (i.e. Public Service Announcement).
